Our Physio Philosophy

The educated brain hurts less. At the end of the day it's our brain that recognises danger and causes pain. Think of it more as an alarm. Understanding the pathology and empowering clients with the knowledge of a pathway out of pain is our primary objective.

We never assume the outcome or diagnosis; we treat what we find, we look further that just the region of pain and this means we find unique and sometimes surprising results.

Improving our health

Our nervous system covers the whole body and is continuous throughout. It affects all tissues,

Importantly our nervous system is mobile, sliding and gliding as we move. Disturbance to that mobility causes guarding and protective muscle activation which can cause problems both locally and in other parts of the body.

By assessing and treating the nerve mobility first, we can often achieve faster/better/lasting results for clients.

Meet Bruce

Portrait of a man with brown hair and a beard, smiling in front of a blurred background.

Bruce has over 30 years’ experience, the last 25 years being in private practice in Goolwa and the surrounding areas. Bruce is a Ridgeway Trained Practitioner and a qualified Vestibular Physiotherapist.

“The human brain (& body) is a master of disguise. Often similar presentation will be from multiple sources so it's vital to check all appropriate structures for dysfunction. “Looking under every stone” Some may not even be in the area of pain.
